Carpe Diem Goes on a Mission

We recently heard from a gentleman by the name of Ben who wanted to review one of our products during an upcoming Missionary trip to Ethiopia. We were absolutely game so we sent off a Carpe Diem hat with our good wishes. 

What returned was more than we could have asked for.

"I made sure to use it on the plane and while driving the 4 hours to Longono region of Ethiopia and while I was working in the hot sun and then in the rain )-: LOL. I have to say that I really love those hats but I wanted to love on the missionaries there so I left the hat with one of the missionaries in Ethiopia. He was thrilled when I gave it to him. I thought that would be a cool twist to the story of the hats as they come from cargo trucks in Brazil and he is in Ethiopia. (-: 

Thank you Ben for your kind words and we're so happy the hat is in good hands. We know for a fact it is going to come in handy in the Ethiopian bush. Thanks again!

It's definately fall and time to break out the fenugreek seeds for a hot satisfying tea. Fenugreek is a seed that is used primarily in curry dishes but is also really terrfic as a tea. Boil some water, add sweetener....I use agave nectar.....then supplement with a squeeze of lemon or ginger juice. Stir and enjoy. Fenugreek is said to have kidney and liver cleansing properties and it tastes great. You can keep adding hot water to your seeds and they will continue to give off a good aroma. So one teaspoon of seeds per cup go a long way to keeping you warm this winter.

I just got my new and absolutely awesome PAZ hat in the mail today...   Wow!  It is soooo cool. 

Thank you very much for bumping up the size ... It is just right.   I love my hat and will use and enjoy it often.

 

I am including a photo of myself as you requested...

My name is Dan ... I live in San Diego...  I am a single father of two fantastic sons.  I work for the US Postal Service during the day and am an artist as well...

I create retro style robots and ray-guns from found objects... Junk art.  I love the challenge of looking at something that is trash to some and giving the objects new life within the sculptures I create.

I am known as "Tinkerbots" on the internet...  I share images of my works as Tinkerbots on flickr.

 

My two son's and I love to ride mountain bikes, fishing and the art of rock stacking at the beach....  When I happened across your hats, I said to myself I absolutely have to have one... The fact that they are a beautiful recycled product with a rich past made it even more unique and special to me...

Customer Feedback for the New Recycled Canvas Journey Weekend/Overnight Bag

We just started offering this new bag at Paz Apparel our online store that sells recycled canvas hats and bags. And feedback so far is terrific. Here's one customer at the Denver airport about to embark on a trip to Vancouver wearing his extra large Journey Weekend bag. It's the perfect size for a quick trip. In this customer's bag he tells us he had a bunch of clothes, a lap top, travel document wallet, iPhone and toiletry bag.

This bag is fully lined in a heavy black material, and the trim is recycled vinyl billboard canvas from Brazil. Extra wide strap, and buckle and Velcro closures make this bag a hip update and compliment to our Metro Messenger bag.
