I stumbled upon two site yesterday that I thought were worth mentioning.
First, the Happy Cow compassionate eating guide. In it authors cover the basics such as the production methods of leather, wool and silk. You may not like what you hear but knowing the truth about the origin of your favorite leather belt or your silk comforter or even your down pillow is important especially if you want to be a part of the solution. In any case there are many alternatives such as the vegan leather used in all of my recycled canvas hats and bags and totes.
And speaking of alternatives, I also stumbled upon, Ginger Burr's Total Image Vegan Fashion Consulting site. Ginger shares her Vegan Fashion secrets which includes 'green' buying tips. She also list several links to manufacturers and retailers who are getting into the 'green' and vegan swing of things.
Happy hunting!

Excellent post. Vegan Fashion Consulting is a great idea. Kudos to Miss Burr! Not to blatantly self-promote or anything but I have a excellent list of resources (fashion and otherwise) on the resources page of my site. :) Maybe your readers could possibly benefit from them. Thanks!
