This drink can be made in a blender.Or if you are a late night tv junkie you can make yours in a magic bullet express (Pssst....I love mine!!)
Add to your blender a generous handful of one or all of the following: spinach, carrot tops, kale, chard or any other green you like (Remove the leaves from the fibrous stock).
Add one fully ripe (black skin) banana a couple of pitted dates (soaked), two table spoons of ground flax seed a teaspoon of spirulina and enough filtered water so that your drink is the consistency of a smoothie.
Blend on high speed long enough to break down the fibers in the leafy greens.Don't be afraid to really let it blend.
You want the drink to be a pleasure so add some agave nectar if it's not sweet enough for your taste. If your banana's are super ripe the drink should already be sweet enough.
You can add a teaspoon of raw cacao powder (not to be confused with cocoa powder) or a squeeze of lemon for other variations.
Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and get ready to feel amazing!
