People have been asking for this recycled canvas hat in chocolate brown and it's finally available!

When we launched our recycled canvas hats bags and totes business a few years ago we had a photo of a chocolate brown outback hat that everyone loved. Unfortunately we didn't carry it at the time. We are pleased to say we now have this very popular hat available in an eco friendly dye. It's called the Carpe Diem, check it out and let  us know what you think.

A grassroots movement to speak out against harmful training methods being promoted in competitive dressage

As some of you know I am very passionate about animals. This is evidenced in my devotion to animal rescue and my love for riding and more specifically my experience with dressage.

Recently Dominique Barbier (French Classical Dressage Master) and Dr. Gerd Heuschmann (A German Equestrian vet) were interviewed regarding an unsettling trend in the training methods being promoted in competitive dressage. These practices are harmful to the horses. Fortunately though Dominique and Dr. Heuschmann are bringing a much needed voice to these majestic creatures.

Dominique along with his wife Debra Barbier with assistance from Dr. Heuschmann are building a grassroots movement to speak out about these misguided practices. 

Dr. Heuschmann has written a book about the biomechanics of a horse and how certain training methods and competitions are destroying horses at very young ages.

This is happening even at the highest levels and with the most expensive horses and trainers.

Animal Rescuing another Animal

I just had to post this amazing footage of a dog rescuing another dog in the middle of a freeway. It makes your heart break but it has a happy ending.

As many of you know I have a few passions. One being Orador. A friend was out at the farm recently and captured moments of 'peace' including this one of Orador enjoying sustenance.

Freind at the farm

We had a wonderful morning at the farm with our friend Mark who is visiting from Vancouver. Fed the horses, chcikens, guineas, goat, cats, dog, deer, etc. cleaned the barn then had a great breakfast together. Enjoying life, animals and friendship. Peace
